Ksenia Golovina currently works as an Associate Professor at Toyo University. She holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Tokyo, with research on migration and marriage between Russian women and Japanese men, culminating in her 2017 book Russian Women in Japan: Migration, Marriage, and Life Crafting (Akashi Shoten, in Japanese). Her recent work explores migrant housing and home, kinship, and mourning practices, focusing on materiality and affect, while also incorporating structural anthropology perspectives.
